1. Make sure your phone works with Popl: Compatible Devices

If your phone isn't on this list, no problem! You can still share your Popl profile with others. To complete your Popl setup, go to poplme.co and register with the temporary password that is written on the back of your Popl. Then, stick your Popl to the bottom of your phone and you're all set!

 

2. Make sure to touch your Popl to the very top of the back of your phone.

On iPhones, the sweet spot for reading a Popl is on the top of the back of the device. For Androids, the sweet spot is in the center of the back.

 

3. A Popl CANNOT be read when:  

- their phone is in airplane mode

- their device flashlight is on

- their phone screen is off

- their camera is open 

1. Try touching your Popl to the very center of the back of your phone.  

For Androids, the sweet spot for reading a Popl is in the center of the back of the device. On iPhones, the sweet spot for reading a Popl is on the top of the back.

   
2. Make sure your phone works with Popl: Compatible Devices
 
If your phone isn't on this list, no problem! You can still share your Popl profile with others. Your popl doesn't send info to your own phone, just the phone you are popping to. 
 
3. Turn on NFC capabilities in your phone settings
 
If your phone is on the compatible devices list and is still not recognizing your Popl, go to your phone settings and search for NFC. Make sure that NFC capabilities are enabled. 

If tapping your Popl to other phones takes them to the Popl register page, double check that you used the temporary password on the back of your Popl notecard to register your account. 

If this temporary password is not used to register, your Popl will not be linked correctly to your Popl profile. 

Didn't use the temporary password, no problem! Please send a message with your Popl notecard temp passcode and the email associated with your Popl account to @popl.co on Instagram or to jason@popl.co and we will link your account manually. 

No! The other person does not need a Popl or app to receive your Popl profile. That's the beauty of Popl 

If their phone is on this list compatible devices you can pop to their phone. If it is not, just use your Popl QR code on your profile to share!

No! Popls can be placed anywhere you want. You can put a Popl:

- on your laptop

- in your car

- on your restaurant table

- in your office

- in a open house

- the possibilities continue! 


The Popl doesn't communicate to the phone it is on, it communicates to the phone it is sharing info to. 

Yes you can! With the Popl app, you can activate as many Popls as you want with the same account. Just log into the account you want to activate your Popl with and tap "Activate Popl"!

Absolutely! Email us at support@popl.co to start a conversation with us. 

Popl does not require a network, data, or internet connection to pop your profile to another phone. But, in order to load your profile links, the other phone will need a connection. 

If the other phone does not have a connection, they can always save your Popl notification and open it later or bookmark your profile using a browser. 

If you would like to be verified on Popl, please send an email to support@popl.co containing your full name and a short case for why you should be verified!

Yes you can! But keep in mind that each Popl will have to be linked to a unique email/profile.

Yes, Popls have no effect on your phone's wireless charging capabilities.

For iPhones, the iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max and all future iPhones are compatible with the pop feature of Popl. 

With the Popl App installed, iPhone 7 and newer are compatible with Popl! Just use the "Read a Popl" function in the main menu 

Virtually all Android Smartphones are compatible with the pop feature of Popl. However, please visit our compatible devices page to ensure that your smartphone is on the list.



iPhones as old as the iPhone 5S and basically all Androids can use their camera to scan your Popl QR code. Your Popl QR code can be found by tapping the QR code button on the top right of your profile on poplme.co. You can even add your Popl Card to your Apple Wallet for easy access!

You can also share your profile via text, airdrop, email or any social network by sharing the link to your Popl profile.


Some Android phones have NFC turned off by default. 

If your Android is not reading Popls, go to your phone settings and search for "NFC". Then make sure you have this turned on! 

Please make sure you’re using a compatible smartphone and that you have NFC turned on in settings. If you’ve checked both of those and your Popl is still not being read, please reach out to us at support@popl.co.

Yes! Popls will work through 99.9% of phone cases, including ones that hold credit cards. The only exception would be if your case has an extremely thick layer of metal. 



Shipping time within the USA is typically 1-5 business days, depending on your location. 

Shipping time outside of the USA is typically 7-21 business days.

If you received an email saying your Popl has been shipped but you haven't received it yet, please allow 7-10 business days for your Popl to arrive. 

If it has been longer than 10 days and you still haven't received your Popl, please send us an email at support@popl.co and we w resolve your issue!

Because we use USPS envelopes to send popls, there is no tracking available for purchases.

We ship out of Los Angeles, California, so average shipping times are as below:


Within the USA:

- Light: 1-5 days


International: 

- Popl worldwide: 7-21 days

If you are getting this message in the Popl App, that means you have a Popl that is already activated!

Please follow the steps on the back of the Popl notecard you received, no need to activate using the app. Once you have followed those steps, your Popl is good to go!

With the Popl app downloaded, iPhone 7 and newer can receive your profile in app! This functionality is available with the "Read a Popl" option from in the Popl app main menu. 

No, the Popl app is meant to provide a better experience once you have already purchased the Popl product. You cannot pop another phone with just the app. 

The People Page™️ is the absolute FASTEST way to save someone's info into your phone! 

When someone with a new Popl pops you or you scan a Popl QR Code, the new person gets added to your People Page™️ automatically. This then saves the Popl profiles of everyone you have met so you can make sure to never lose another important connection. 

When a Popl or QR code sends a notification that says "Open in Popl" this means they will be added to your People Page™️.

If you'd like to change your profile URL, please send an email to support@popl.co and we will do our best to get you the URL you want! 

A pop occurs when you tap your Popl to the back of another person's compatible phone to share your Popl profile! 

This sharing is initiated by a push notification that will appear on the other person's phone. If that notification is tapped, your profile will load in Safari or Google Chrome on their phone. No app is required for this! 

Your pop count is the number of times you pop your Popl profile. In the future, we will have rewards for reaching a certain number of pops. So let's get poppin!
