Do I need to ask for consent before recording a conversation?

Yes. Before recording a booth conversation or in-person meeting with Popl AI Voice, reps should get consent from everyone being recorded and follow any applicable recording and privacy laws.

Does Popl use our audio recordings to train AI models?

No. Popl does not use your audio recordings, transcripts, or other customer content to train generally available or third-party AI models without your written consent. Our third-party AI providers are also contractually prohibited from using your customer content to train their models.

How is my voice and recording data kept secure?

Can AI Voice data be sent to my CRM?

Yes. The insights and structured lead data captured by Popl AI Voice can become part of the lead record and flow into your connected CRM, helping reps capture more context without manually typing it in.

Does Popl keep my audio recordings?

Yes. Popl securely retains recordings in the cloud alongside their transcripts and AI-generated summaries so they remain available as part of your customer data.

Your organization retains ownership of that data. Popl’s standard data-retention policy requires customer content to be deleted following the applicable post-termination retention period, except where retention is legally required.

Can I use AI Voice without recording another person?

Yes. With AI Note Taker, a rep can simply speak their own recap after a conversation or meeting. Popl AI Voice turns that spoken recap into organized notes, key takeaways, and next steps without recording the original conversation.

Can Popl AI Voice tell who is speaking?

Yes. During AI Recorder sessions, Popl can distinguish between speakers, giving the transcript and resulting AI analysis context about who said what.

Because AI recordings are associated with a lead, Popl can identify when the lead or the Popl user is speaking. If speakers can't be identified, each speaker is labeled "Person 1", "Person 2", etc.
